It's been a long time since a book made me cry. A tears-running-down-my-cheeks, can't breathe, have-to-shut-myself-in-my-bathroom-till-I-pull-myself-together cry.
It happened again about fifteen minutes ago.
The book? Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. A story about a thirty year friendship. A story about mothers and daughters. A story about family.
Read it. Share it with your best friend, with your mom, with your daughter.

I love when a book makes me cry.
Hi Mary!
I'm more apt to cry while watching a movie ( My Sister's Keeper got me good last week) or a tv show (especially shows like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) than while reading a book. I wonder why that is?
Can you recommend any good 'make me cry' books?
I love books that make me laugh out loud, too. I seem to find more of those than ones that make me cry. And if they can make me laugh through my tears, even better!
