52 Lists - Week 7 – List the Things That Make You Feel Healthy
Have you checked out Moorea Seal's 52 Lists project for 2013? You can scroll down to the end of each week's prompt and see what others have shared. I don't have a smart phone so my posts aren't as pretty as the other participant's, but I'm learning a bit about myself and getting some words on the page. With this post, I'm still 13 lists behind. It looks like Moorea discontinued posting new list ideas after week 20, so maybe I'll come up with my own lists. Any suggestions?
Where has this year gone? And the summer? It just swooshed by.
Anyway, here's my Week 7 offering. The prompt is List the Things That Make You Feel Healthy.
What makes you feel healthy?

52 Lists - Week 1 - List the Words That Touch Your Soul
Do you like to make lists? I do. So I was excited to find a year-long list project, with a new prompt each week, over at Moorea Seal's blog. I am a bit behind. She has three lists up on her blog so far. The next one goes up Tuesday. I figured I'd get started and see if I can catch up.
Here's what I came up with for Week 1 - List the Words That Touch Your Soul.

Of course, as soon as I saved the list, more words popped into my head. I could've filled the list with names of more people. I did hesitate to post this list for fear of offending those I haven't named by name. But then, I figured they know they're in my heart and will understand.
What do you think? What words touch your soul?

You Know You're a Chatterbox When
You know you’re a chatterbox when:· An aunt says you were fed “yak” milk as a baby.
· Someone asks if you were vaccinated with a phonograph needle.
· Your friends call you “Brook,” as in babbling …
· Your child’s speech development is delayed because s/he can’t get a word in edgewise.
· You go to a parent/teacher conference. The teacher mentions your child talks a lot during class, then says s/he can tell said child is my child.
· A friend signs you up for membership in the On-and-On-and-On Anon group.
· People tell you to “breathe.”
· If you’re quiet, everyone asks if you’re feeling okay.
· You’re given a t-shirt that says, “Help! I’m talking and I can’t shut up!”

Writing toward Home
I'm reading Writing toward Home: Tales and Lessons to Find Your Way by Georgia Heard and wanted to share this quote from Martha Graham to Agnes de Mille (in the chapter Keeping the Channel Open): "And because there is only one of you in all time, this experience is unique and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and be lost. The world will not have it."
This is only part of the entire quote, but it really caught my attention and made me think. Like the author of the book, I will post this quote inside my writing notebook and a couple other places where I will see it often.
I'm only part way through this book. It's not a big book, but I'm savoring each chapter. According to the back cover, "It includes exercises--road maps to get you going--to help overcome the obstacles that may be in your way: writer's block, fear of rejection, silencing the critics, lack of time."
